Hi Shumie I hope you are having a good morning. My name is Lee my email is [email protected] and my cell is 432 242 1678. I like using my regular email instead of Bigger Pockets email. Feel free to email me and let me know about yourself. I don’t usually respond to Bigger pockets because I am busy with the local Reia Group. The meetings rotate between Midland and Odessa and are the third Tuesday of every month at 6:45PM.

The Odessa meetings are at Jason's Deli 3167 E University Blvd, at the corner of Grandview and University. We meet in the back room.

The Midland meetings are at The Sales Team Realtor’s meeting room at 507 Tradewinds Blvd., Suite 200. It is located behind the Scharbauer Sports Complex where the Rockhounds Baseball.

You are allowed to bring food and drinks to the meetings in Midland. As you walk in the front doors turn to your right and then turn left and at the end of the hall you will see the meeting room.

At 6:45 PM starts the meet and greet time. This is nothing formal it is just people meeting each other as they walk in the room. Then around 6:55 to 7:00 PM we start the meetings and introduce the speaker/s and the presentations start around 7:00 to 7:05 PM.

I am at most meeting and get there early. I started investing in rentals in 1986 and I like being a landlord. If you come to a meeting I would like to sit and get to know you.

Featured Speaker: Lee Richter

Topic: Land lording and self managing rental properties. OK for those who have been asking Lee to present on how he manages his rental property this is it. A couple of months ago Lee presented on goal setting as the first part of this series. First, you have to decide owning and managing rental properties is even a goal and life style that you want. On this night he will present the first of two parts of how he picks his tenants and what systems he has in place so he gets the best tenants and it takes as little time as possible. Getting the right tenants is the most important part of managing rental properties. Life style is more important to Lee than money. If he picks the right tenants then he does not have to spend his time working on repairing and maintaining the property. The 2nd part of "Managing Rental Properties" will be on this lease up process and that will be later on this year.

Meeting is to take place in Odessa, and the speaker and topic are TBA.

I hate to miss the upcoming meeting (in fact it is the first one I've missed), but I am on a much needed family vacation.  Ruben Hernandez will be speaking about Man Camps and Robyn will be there to introduce him.  Hope it will be beneficial to you, and we will see you next time!

May 21st: Odessa Presenter Rios Waddleton Topic: Entrepreneurship

Presenter Lee Richter Topic: Goal setting-Aligning your life style with your goals. This will be a two part series. Many people have asked Lee to present on land lording and rental properties. It was decided that it would be a good idea to get the basics of goal setting down first. Then talk about the process that Lee uses to manage his rentals.

Alan Biel and James Hodges will be speaking on Wholesaling.  Alan and James are two local people that are actually wholesaling and making a living doing it.  

Steve Sanders will be presenting on Fix & Flips.  Steve is the most talented real estate person I know. When Steve talks you should listen. He knows his numbers and is a gifted rehab-er. He is honest as they come and is always willing to help people. If you are interested in real estate then you need to be at this meeting.
