Excuse me, I should have been more specific. Where did you find your last private or hard money lender?

I am a marketing professional and am doing some research for my company.

Where did you find your last lender?

Were they a colleague, friend, or acquaintance?

Did you meet organically or at a trade show/ conference?

Did you search for them online?

Would you go to them without reviews from people you know?

I am a marketing professional, but a newbie in the real estate industry. I've just been hired to the marketing team for a private money lending firm. The company has been around for many years, but have just found interest in upping their marketing game. We already deploy email campaigns, and attend a few conferences a year, but I'm trying to figure out what I should be adding. I've given them social media sites, and am going to start them a blog, but I'm curious to see what has worked well for everyone else. Where do most of your leads come from? What would garner your attention from a private money lending firm?

Thanks for all your help in advance.

Getting your website to the front page of Google is not as easy as everyone thinks. As a marketing professional, I've worked in many different industries with start-ups and well established companies. There are many aspects that affect your page position. Keywords and content are incredibly important, but what will set your website apart from another is your social media interaction. Google as well as Bing, takes into account your social media standing. Do you have any? Are you using it to your advantage? Search engines like to see activity going and coming from your site. Social media is the best way to constantly be updating and interacting with people in your industry.
