Put together a information pamphlet that tells what investors need to do or direct them clearly where to find information and requirements when you invest in real estate in Tampa.

@Nicole A.  thanks I need to use that website more. Was a bad time. It was about 3yrs ago. Learn good lessons from that experience. Like record everything with problem tenants and file promptly.

@Jay Hinrichs I seen that piece on 60 minutes. Terrible. What did you do with the properties?

The judge tells them to go open a escrow account and the hearing is postponed until after an inspection is done by a city inspector. If there is nothing you are still delayed about 6 weeks. The court dosent make the tenant deposit rent in the escrow account when they open it. So what happens is you get cleared by the inspector and their is no rent in the account. So which usually takes 2 months from when a tenant doesnt pay rent now takes about 3 months or more.

@Account Closed You are right about the meters and the water department

Is there anyway to get these laws changed like the landlord/tenant laws? Or ones that basically affect investors heavily?

@Mark Elliott great idea. Really appreiate it. Really.

@Nicole A. yeah i filled for a hearing. An inspector basically told me they sent out thousands of these this year which they usually dont. She also told me the fine probaly will be reduced but I will have to pay something.

So they still robbing me just for less. Plus the stress and time going downtown back and forth. Thanks Nicole
