@Andy Mirza It was a second mortgage. I’ll never bid on a second again. I just assumed the first would be paid off I don’t want to be owner of a note in second place. I learned a valuable lesson. I did know there was a lien. I can see whynowning a second could be a lucrative deal. If they are paying their first on time how could I ever become owner?

I’ll try to be brief I attended and won a auction for a SFRbefore I wired the funds I ask the lawyer in charge will this satisfy the first seat mortgage Wells Fargo. He answered no. I politely passed. Unsure of what I was getting into. Here were the numbers. Starting price 12,500 Winning bidder price 72,500 Remainder of first seat mortgage 38,000 Home value 90k What would if happens if I wired the money and why wouldn’t they have paid off the first mortgage? Was I just buying a someone’s bad note?

@Brian Ellis Back when I was on my game I had the serial numbers written on the lease. I used that to file a police report I know at least once. However sounds like they got one over on you. You. An try to to strong arm them. Send them a letter saying your gonna file a police report of it’s not back in 24 hours. And that you have the vin numbers. Other than that you don’t have a dog in this fight.
