@Conor Shinnick

They are correct. One. And truth is you don’t need mylodgetax anymore unless you’re taking bookings off platform. As of 1/1 Airbnb and Vrbo are handling your taxes for you.

Thanks!

@Robbie Eddington. I also have one in 30A.

My destin property grossed 86k in 2020 having been shut down for almost 3 months of high season due to the governor.

30A is a bit higher priced. You’re really looking at over a million although 600-700 can be done in certain circumstances.

@Robbie Eddington.

I’ve got a million dollar property in Destin. If you use a property manager you won’t make money. “Self managing” is easy you just need to put systems in place. Read through this entire forum you’ll see everyone else agrees. Happy to answer any further questions.

Thanks!

For short term rental? Not sure if you knew you were on the Short Term Forum. We generally recommend doing vacation rentals in vacation areas. Like Branson.

You're in the right place! Read through this forum for millions of dollars in education :)

@Cody Dastrup

There’s is a reason there are no other properties on Airbnb. Probably 2 or 3 reasons. Like they don’t make money there :(

@Paul Sandhu

I have door hangers that say “if you leave the door open the air conditioner will turn off”

Pool house near beach in Florida. By the way it’s fake they don’t actually turn off.

“No hot objects on quartz countertops”

@Alexander Schloe

Agree with everything thus far. Keep learning snd make sure this is right for you. I would recommend doing one or two in your own before partnering. I would also recommend staying in one market rather than spreading them out. Each market needs a while new system filled with systems. Would do 5 or 6 in one area before moving on to the next !
