Hello. I have being studying this market for several months. I go there almost every weekend. It is no easy at all. I am working with a great local realtor. If you want I can send you her information. She is the best. I think that finding land should be easy task. I will avoid Warren County (front royal) since you need to go thought a long process to get a permit to operate your STR.

Hi all-
Great to see this forum conversation bringing so many people together! I'm looking forward to connecting with many of you in the Facebook group- thanks @Brent Barnes for setting that up!
I'm interested in buying land to build a STR with a mountain view in the Shenandoah Valley. Does anyone happen to know any realtors in the area that are particularly knowledgeable when it comes to buying land for STR use in the area? I'd also be interested in home builder recommendations!

@Chris Ritter - I am currently working with C.E. Long Construction and I have been extremely happy with the communication and professionalism of the owner Emmett and his wife Edy. Their contact number is (540) 481-3918. I found them through my realtor, Amanda Downs who works with ERA Valley Realty. I couldn't be happier with the service she provided me.

Yes, thanks Chris. I went to planning commission meeting last night and am trying to meet with our supervisor too. We're in a pretty remote area near the river, so figured that would help, but people seem to really appreciate their privacy down here too and I don't want to mess with that. Thanks for the advice.

We closed on a 4BR/2BA chalet/cabinish home in Massanutten back in May...it's a fixer upper, so we're still working on getting it up to speed. New HVAC system, new electric panel box, new flooring etc. It's a slow go though because contractors are so backed up. Probably a fall opening, but we're excited to get it up and going.
Magaly
yes we did...I can share, but like a lot of places, they are all about 3-4 months out from being able to get started with new homeowners
guaoooooo excellent! congratulations!!
