Let's say that 2 partners own a property free and clear. The value of the home is $100,000 each has a 50 percent claim to the property. I am assuming that each has a net worth of $50,000 from that specific property? Or does each one claim the full $100,000 as a part of their net worth.

Thank you!

Awesome, thanks so much guys.

Hey there everyone. I am a new wholesaler. We typically do not do deals with agents, but opportunities arose. This agent is bringing me a listing from the MLS that we are considering putting under contract. We asked for a due diligence period. The agent told us that he wanted $500 due diligence deposit/earnest money. My question is do we pay that upfront as we offer? Or only if our offer is accepted and we move to signing a contract? We make a lot of offers and typically it is just between us and the seller. But I know the MLS works differently. Still we cannot simply give away $500 Everytime we make an offer.

thanks so much everyone!

Thanks Abigail! That money isn't paid out unless the offer is accepted correct?

Hey everyone, my partner and I are trying to put in an offer on a house, the realtor told us that it would be a $500 non-refundable deposit for due diligence, how much is it usually? The house is listed at $65,000 and we are trying to put in an offer for $55,000

thanks

Hey everyone, I am currently looking at a property in Greensboro NC, it is a 3 bed 1 bath, we want to put a 2nd bathroom in there, nothing special just a normal run of the mill rental grade bathroom. I don't have my copy of estimating rehab costs on me right now as I am out of town. What would you guys say is the average for adding in a small rental grade bathroom into a property of this size in Greensboro, NC. I am thinking ~$15,000. I know this is dependent on many factors but I just want an average ballpark figure. There is no defferred maintenance in the house.
