@Rob Myers

I have a SFR in the Dells. It does just fine. I purchased the home as my first flip in late 2007, by the time it was finished so was the market. I started renting it out and it has been solid. Big wined up for, I don't know much about multi family in the Dells. What I do know is a lot of the resorts own off-ground complexes that house the migrant workers and there are a number of upscale complexes that cater to the more long-term help.

Thank you all, I am happy to be here and excited to get this train back on the right track.

@Hussain Harun, I have absolutely considered it.  My current 9-5 prohibits me from practicing in any other areas of the law, but this will never be my forever job.

@Mark Cash, I am.  The issue that I am currently having stem from my lack of oversight of the properties I already own.  I do not have a great process in place to deal with tenant issues and after I turn the Mauston properties around I will be looking to break into this area.

@Adam Kozuch I am planning on expanding up here in time.  I have plenty of work to do before I will be in a position to expand. I am really interested in any property that makes sense.  Most of the single homes I own are homes that I bought because I needed a place to live.  Property values in the Mauston area were low at the time and I was licensed, so every new rental meant a commission.

I am excited about sharing my experiences with you all and to begin building relationships.  My next goal is to get rid of a few of these problem tenants and strengthening the  foundation and prepare to expand.

Hello all,

My name is Eric and I am currently an attorney in the La Crosse area.  I have been practicing law for 4 years and worked as a real estate agent before I started my law career.

I worked as an agent from 04 through 08. I primarily worked around the Castle Rock lake area and Wisconsin Dells. I started purchasing residential income properties, SFR's and duplexes, in Mauston, Baraboo, and Wisconsin Dells. I left for law school in 2008 and the properties went trough a period of neglect I am still digging out from.

After graduating, the learning curve was intense and I had little time to devote to managing my rentals and it is time for a change.  It is time to take back this business and I am starting here.  The podcasts are really what motivated me to get involved in real estate again.  I am now studying to get re-licensed in Wisconsin and get back on the gas growing this business.

I look forward to learning everything I can here and will try to do my best helping whenever I can.
