I was in Whitefish for a vacation Trip in October 2019. Loved it! If my main job would allow it I would love to move there at some point.
Question to Realtors from the Area: Is the Flathead Valley still an Area for Buy& Hold BRRR Investers? Being able to find distressed single family properties, do an extensive rehab and rent them out and still be able to cash flow at least a little?

I live in the Buffalo NY area and prices are very competitive right now. The high property taxes in the surrounding counties (2.65%-2.97%) are also an issue.
I was in Montana for a vacation trip last year and absolutely loved it and would love end up living their on day. I also do believe that due to climate change these midwest mountain areas will appreciate.
What is everybody's take on Montana? Billings, Bozeman, Whitefish, Kalispell...

Hi all,
I'm just starting out in buy and hold real estate investing (BRRRR) and running first numbers and get a little frustrated with the high property tax in my area, 2.65% in Erie County NY and 2.97% in Niagara County!
Am I overthinking these and the high property taxes will just be reflected in higher rents we can ask compared to other places with lower property taxes, or is directly going out of state the way to go?

I´m not sure About the area yet, but I do not really think I care as Long as the area is not giving us any headaches and good Quality tenants.
Maybe North Tonawanda, Amherst, Areas like that.

Dear local Real Estate People/ Investors/ Contractors,
my Name is Manuel Koschnieder and try to build a BRRR Rental Portfolio of Single Family houses or Duplexes in Western New York. I live in 14092 Lewiston.
We have the funds in place to buy and rehab our first property.
Ideally, we would like to do 3-4 properties per year.
However, our situation is kind of special in a way that we just moved to the US a little over 3 years ago. We are still about to finalize our permanent residency. Without that we would not be able to refinance our first deal to pull our money back out to move on to the next one.
We expect that to be solved by March 2021. So we would probaly not buy anything before that.
In the meantime, we would love to meet people and build a network that can help us in our endeavor moving forward so that we have a team in place when the time comes.
