Post: Tax Benefits for adding Pool to your LLC

Hi folks, we recently started to build our pool in the backyard and was wondering if you have tax benefits if you add your pool to your LLC?
The business case is that we would either use the pool for:
1. Lease it out to a underwater photographer: maternity photos, to be married couples, etc.
2. Lease it for events such as parties, bbq's, gatherings, etc.
Thanks in advance

Quote from @Steven Goldman:
So Marco provided Wilson with the solution to problem. Sell the property. Wilson's experience is worth dissecting as a post mortem as a learning experience for the rest of us. If Wilson is from West Palm Beach Florida my first question is, what made him think managing a out of state rehab. without prior experience was a good business plan? For you newbies, it is hard enough to find the property, borrow the money, execute the construction. Than find a tenant without adding the element of it being out of your footprint. Out of State investing is for experienced investors and it is best to start with a turn key property and get the lay of the land before you tackle a out of state construction project.
All of the money made in a real estate transaction results for the initial purchase. If you pay too much, or underestimate the rehab. or fail to control the contractor, you will get a terrible result.
Amen brother!

Hi Wilson, that's funny that you bought a property in Houston and now you can't know what to do. I live in H-Town and I'm also stuck with a property that I inteded to refinance and rent out after I rehab it. But, even it seems with the high rates, even the DSCR loan won't cash positive, so I decided it to list it. Sell it, move on, learn from the lesson and next time, let's buy better. If you buy wrong, then you have little or no wiggle room to improve things but rehabbing it but it will depend too much of the equity you gain from the purchase. Good luck, you can always contact me. Regards,

@Severin Sadjina, I'm in on the virtual meetup on ML for RE... this thread was dead long ago... just curious if someone is still interested. I have a business idea that I'd like to bounce it off with like minded Software/Product oriented folks

Hi folks, I've been reading and watching the contents in BP but I haven't yet found anything related to Strategies to protect and secure your investments. What are some of the best strategies to prepare for leaving this world?, how do you protect your legacy for your family when you can incurr in large slumps of debt? The other day, my wife asked me and I didn't have a solid answer yet...

@Steven Moore, I just did that last year. I rented out my original residence and moved into a new one. When I filed my Taxes, I considered it a Rental Property and took advantage of the Tax breaks. It helped me because now my tenants are paying off my remaining note and I'm still cashing positive NOI. You can use this strategy, Live in & Rent and go for the next while you save your cash for the next deal.

Hi @Dave Chapa and @Steven Moore! I'm on the same journey: looking for my next investment deal currently on SFH but I'm open to small MF too in either Cypress or Katy areas. I want to partner and network because not only I logged many hours in YT watching Brandon and Dave's webcasts but also I continue to read REI books. I live on my W2 and close to pay off in about 1.5 years my first SFH rental, but what's next for me?, can we talk?
