Thank you! I was a bit skeptical about Neptune Flood Inc. after their quote was 1k and FEMA was 7k. Glad to know they are a real company.

Can anyone recommend me a Private Flood Insurance Company? The ones I have called they are quick to give me a quote and the address in the policy is not even correct. I want to make sure the company is real that is why I am asking for recommendations. Thank you.

Good Day :) I need to buy flood insurance for a property (not through FEMA). I am looking at a few private flood insurance companies and I am skeptical. If you currently have flood insurance and can recommend them, let me know. I appreciate it :-)

LOL :-) You are right! I guess one has to consider both scenarios.

Here I go :) About 4-5 years ago I was offered 8 units, at 165k, 10% down, owner financed at 6%, 100% occupied, 4 minutes away from downtown Dallas in the Fair Park area (yes the multifamily unit had a great downtown view and was all brick). I regret not getting it as similar properties are now going for over 700k.
My mistake was listening to others as how dangerous the area was and how it would be complicated to collect rent or evict tenants if needed to, when they didn't own Real Estate. I shouldn't have listened to them! I could have hired a management company!!! It was a matter of time as the area is changing so rapidly and values have significantly increased.

This shall pass and you will become more knowledgeable. Don't allow a bad experience damage your real estate plans. I had a similar experience and I am glad I didn't give up on my Real Estate plans.
