@Taylor Roeling Thanks for the well wishes. One of the reasons I found bigger pockets is because I've been seriously researching for months now. I'm trying to be patient but not let rightbopportunity pass me by. So, I try to keep my eyes open and talk to as many people as I can for useable knowledge.

@Lacy Tilley WOW....that's amazing. I did something very similar to this. The home I lived in two months ago I purchased for well under market value during the crash. Although I recently sold it for a lot more 10 years later...I'd like to turn that sort of profit in a much lesser time frame with my next purchase.

@Josh Dane House Flipping is definitely one of my favorite options but it might not be the best option for the money. One of the reasons I'm reaching out to the vets. I've got a few years of property management under my belt and I'm looking to leave this industry for real estate investing. Even though I'm good at it. I dont love it. I wouldnt want to go into an invest with that mindset. If that makes sense.

@Josh Dane Thanks alot Josh. I'll surely have to look into that. That idea has definitely been presented to me and I've though about it many times. Being a land lord always scares me off the idea though.

Greetings BP family,

I'm a newbie to the real estate investing world. Right now, I have 10K free and clear. I realize it's not much but I'd like to use it to get started and get my feet planted into real estate.  I'm in Atlanta, GA. The market seems to ok, presently. I've talked to a few real estate agents and investors in passing and most concur that there are deals to be had in our market.

Ultimately I'm interested in knowing if you guys have an suggestion on ways that I can take my 10k and get started investing in realestate. Tactics for handling the money, best types of investment routes for the money or even partnerships. I'm very open to hearing what you vets have to share. Please Heeeelp!!!

Thank you guys in advance. :-)

Ok BP family, I am currently renting out my primary place of residence (which was actually kind of done by mistake.....another story for another time). :-) And I'm staying with an amazing friend right now....RENT FREE! I absolutely love the income I'm receiving from my primary home. Now I'm thinking I want to invest the Equity I have in my primary home into real estate. I have about $40,000 in equity and Id like to get another rental property. *Any suggestions on good ways I should use it to get started? *Is it possible to get a home equity loan and 2nd convential mortgage loan at the same time? (Being that I already have one) *Is it best to get a partner? Or is it possible to go at it alone with the $40,000 in Equity? heeeeelp.
