Looking to get recommendations on investor friendly general contractors in Houston. I have a list of 6 or so from google and Yelp but wanted to see if anyone might have recommendations that I may want to consider. Thanks!

@Jamie Rose thanks for the note. I came to the same conclusion you did about needing a local partner. I am focused mainly in Texas but will reach out to you if I look at anchorage again!

@Keenan Fitzpatrick thanks for being willing to help. I ended up passing on the deal. Just too much of a stretch for me without a team already in place. Thanks though!

@Marc Rice I already checked the directory and no realtors for anchorage specifically are listed on BP and while I could go to google, I’d prefer recommendations from other investors which is why I asked in the local sub forum. I also don’t need much hand holding, just local contacts and knowledge but yeah thanks for your .02.

I’m an out of state investor and would love to work with an investor/realtor who can work with me to assess a property in Anchorage. I have the raw data but need someone with local knowledge. Can anyone recommend a good realtor that has excellent contacts with lenders, contractors, and PM?
**Bonus question: can anyone give me some good tips on how to verify a wholesaler is legit and not a scammer? I’ve never worked with a wholesaler before and don’t want to get scammed.
@Melchire St.ville I’m interested in your thoughts on this as well...please shoot me a message if you have a moment!
@Bruce Lynn thanks for the advice! Forewarned is forearmed.
@Tim Herman that's why so far I have shied away from doing them. I prefer SFH but it's a crazy market in Texas right now but condos are still relatively reasonably priced and it's why I've been trying to see why other investors aren't looking at condos.
@Tim Herman
I didn’t even know that was something you could ask for...does make sense though and goes a long way to explaining the variance in assessments.
