Hey Markiem,
Wholesaling can be a legitimate business if done properly and if it is something you want to pursue, I say go for it! Make sure to network with reputable investors and get educated on wholesaling so that you don't get yourself into trouble or hurt anyone. Like any business, there are wholesalers out there who will take advantage of others and have given wholesaling a bad rep. I know a few investors in northwest Philadelphia, send me a message and I'll get you in touch.
Thank you! Stark I just sent you a message.

as a bright young man with a college degree ... have you thought of getting your RE license and going to work for a commerical broker.. do your apprenticeship earn while you learn... so that by the time your 35 ish your knocking down 500k a year plus... Remember wholesaling has no morals or ethics that are mandated some folks are moral and ethical many in this industry are not and will just use you and spit you out.. Thinking hey if this newbie can bring me one deal thats great.. but it does nothing for you. Remember the bar to entry for wholesaling does not exist its below low .... were as to be a Real Estate professional especially in the commercial arena this takes smarts drive and talent.. Just follow Joel Owens he is basically the only commercial broker I really see on BP if he will talk with you I would hit him up..
Think about long term career.. and elevate yourself above this...
Just thought I would take a minute to give you something else to think about like your future, good luck in whatever you do..
Thank you so much for the encouraging words. I wouldn't mind earning my RE license and taking it another step. As a newbie, could you tell me how I would go about obtaining the license?
My name is Markiem Jenkins and I am a brand new wholesaler looking to network and learn as much as I possibly can from professionals who have been wholesaling for a good amount of time. I am just starting my wholesaling career at 23 and I know I am far from where I want to be right now. I am a young college graduate looking to meet great individuals willing to help teach a young ambitious newbie the ins and outs of wholesaling in the Philadelphia market. I will be attending my first meetup group in Philadelphia on December 9th 2015. I want to meet as many wholesalers and investors as possible and grow in this industry, and I know BP is a great place to start. If anybody is willing to give a few pointers or just network I would be more than grateful. My goal is to complete at least 15 wholesale deals by June 2016 and hopefully eventually purchase my first property to hold and rent out. Any tips would be really helpful and I am open to any and everything. I look forward to networking with the great community BP has to offer and I am anxiously awaiting to speak with seasoned investors. Thank you and and wish me luck.
