Post: El Paso- to convert or not convert a garage to a bedroom?

Greetings all! Hoping to hear some advice from experts in the El Paso, TX area but I'm appreciative of any feedback- I have a 3 bedroom 1500 square ft house in the northeast with a two car garage I am considering converting into another bedroom. I understand the "garage to bedroom conversion" benefit depends on the local area so I'm wondering what some local advice would be? I am 95 percent sure I will rent out the house later on. Would a partial conversion to a one bedroom and one car garage be most beneficial? All or nothing? Thanks in advance!

Hello Joshus!

I am not a native spanish speaker, but after several years studying the language and working with only spanish speaking people, I would translate the article as such:

Casa De Venta: Esta casa necesita muchas reparaciones, pero después podría vender por $80,000 o $90,000 dólares USD. Solamente buscamos compradores con efectivo por favor.   ( this excludes the "serious buyers" phrase, but I would be willing to bet that if they had $30,000 in cash they wouldn't be wasting your time).

If there is a native spanish speaker that can perfectly answer this post, then great, in the meantime I hope this has provided some value.  Also as a non-language related idea, do you think it might be worth it to at least add what area of Corpus Christi it is in? (Bay area, Central City, South Side).  I would probably be interested in knowing if I was a buyer. Either way, your market, not mine, I am sure you know best, I am just offering ideas.  Hope this helps!

Hello All!  My name is Matthew McGinn (I go by Matt), and I am serving full time active duty in the U.S. Army, currently stationed at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. I have been interested in wholesaling real estate and flipping houses for many years, and I have one house I partially rehabbed and am renting out in El Paso, TX. I definitely want to get more involved with real estate after my time in the army, but that is several years away and right now I am keeping my options open should any great opportunities come my way while I am here in Hawaii.

I have lurked on this site for a while but I decided to go ahead and register and possibly building network connections.  I am looking forward to making the most out of my membership here, and in the meantime if you have any army related questions, (I used to be a recruiter), I'd be happy to help!
