Thank you everyone for welcoming me! I look forward to meeting some of you and learning from everyone. Just to clear up any confusion, I live in Kailua on the windward side of Oahu. 

I’m looking to start investing out of state since my family moves around a lot. Even if I started investing locally, it would all be out of state to me in a couple years anyway. I currently own one rental property in the Seattle area (formerly my primary residence). Owning that property helped me better appreciate the advantages of real estate investment and made me want to learn more and get more deeply involved.

I’m a stay-at-home dad in Kailua, HI with two young children. I’m new to real estate investing and have made a goal to earn enough passive income to allow my wife to stay at home with me (if she so desires). I’ve been reading/researching a lot over the past few months and want to get started. Big thanks to the BP community for all the good info I’ve already found here.
