@Santiago Ramiro Girado
When you buy land you have to have a plan for it. Unlike buying a house or apartment which will generate income and pay the mortgage, buying land will not.
Possible paths you can take with land:
1. Develop it. Expensive. High risk. Potential high return.
2. Flip it quickly. You’ll only make money if you know you’re buying it for cheap and can sell it to someone for more.
3. Hold it and sell when it appreciates. Betting on the property value to appreciate. Risky and costly holding the property til it increases in value.

Are there any active investors in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin or Eau Claire that would like to connect? I have family in the area and would like to make contacts and establish some partnerships here.
Specifically I’d love to network with landlords, wholesalers, property managers, and real estate agents that know investing.
@Joe Norman
Would you ever have 20 minutes to hop on a zoom call and show me some of the data you’re referencing? I just want to better understand what types of analysis could be possible if I had access.

@Ilya Z.
Have you invested up there yet? I’m curious to hear the current market conditions up there, both since the underclassmen were moved on campus and now with COVID shutting things down.

@Jeff D. I lived in the northern provinces of Argentina for a couple years and I’ve been to all the places you described. It really is beautiful. I’d consider investing down there by myself or with others but I’d want to understand better how to navigate all the challenges stated by those in this thread.

@Jeff D. I’ve had my eye on Argentina as well. Thinking Salta province. But the economy is bonkers.
If you bought a property for 100,000 pesos in 2012, it would basically feel like a free property today. But if that ever reversed though, you’d be in quite a bind.
Thinking AirBnb style rental?
I'm in the DC Metro area, looking in many of the Maryland markets (Baltimore, Howard County, Hagerstown).
So, I've always heard that real estate agents have MLS access, which is clearly superior than the online tools available to the public, but it's always been unclear to me what exactly an investor is gaining from that increased level of access. I'd like to understand what advantage would be gained by having this level of access.
Would anyone be generous enough to set up a zoom or hangouts virtual tour so that I could get a clearer understanding of this?

What city in Argentina? Perhaps I know people in that area that can help. Also, I may be interested in buying the properties if you have information on them. DM me.
