@Brittany C Spragins

Most will say realtor because of their network, that is essentially what you are getting when you chose a realtor besides personality fit and work ethic ( but that again will fall into the networking ability, Thierry network.)

With that said, connect with everyone, start making phone calls, start making connections and relationships.

There is a north Raleigh meetup next Wednesday’s. You can find the details in Bigger Pockets events.

Also, I’ll be hosting a meetup the last Thursday of every month as well. More details to follow shortly. This month will be short term rentals atomization presentation and networking after at Clouds Brewery from 6-9pm. Hope to see you there.

Jake. Love Morristown. I used to live in an apartment on the 2nd Flr of a multifamily house right behind the high school. We paid roughly $1700 (which was cheap) for a 1 Br with living room, den and own washer/dryer. Probably 600 sqft.

My Friend bought a Duplex right off Martin Luther King Ave, across from the cemetery. I think each side was a 3/2. He rented out the front unit and then rented out his side by the room. Not only was he living for free but he cashflow'd every month from the property which was a cool concept to think about before I started learning about REI and house hacking.

I miss all the food and walkability of Morristown.

Goodluck!

I'm just here to second Chris' opinion.

Durham is going to be the hip, downtown techy city with great growth potential for sure and I would personally think that 6% is even on the lower side of yoy appreciation.

Also suburbs of Raleigh where Highway 540 has strong growth as well. Cary is already booming, and Apex, but also this large growth in considering towns such as Holly Springs, Fuquay Varina, and parts of Garner.

The one thing I noticed when I moved to Raleigh from Upstate New York and New Jersey, the apartment complexes down here are large and provide many amenities along with upgraded features in the apartment at fair market rents. Not that this is where everyone wants to rent from, but its a major player than my typical markets in the Northeast. However, to add to this, housing inventory is still low and therefore rentals are being grabbed just as quick, hence the large jump in rental prices in the market over a short period of time.

I agree with David Greene, I think this is the right time to jump into REI.

Post: 1st Deal, around 4-500k loan, which Southeast market?

I am currently closing on a condo in North Myrtle Beach. Its a 3/2 condo, 1 unit off beach Front, still beach views and on beach side while under $400K. There's a few units beach front closer to $400K. I am able to use 2nd home loans (as it is Not a "Condotel").

Be mindful of HOAs as they are moderate in the area, so could stretch your deal based on what you can be approved for depending on your loan type, down payment, etc.

@Marco Aceves

@Joseph Bafia thank you.

I look forward in connecting.

We have meetups in Raleigh as well as I am the host of a meetup in Southern Wake. Would love to have you there.. I’ll post on events here on the BP forums.

If you are interested in Raleigh or any other markets in NC, I’m with a team that can provide value in other markets like Charlotte, Fayetteville, etc.

would be happy to jump on a call and discuss real estate.

Messaging you as well.

Best! Merry Christmas!
