Hey! My name is Megan and I am newbie who plans to use the house hacking strategy to reach financial freedom in the next 7 years. At the moment I am reading the The House Hacking Strategy by Craig Curelop. In the beginning of the book he talks about his "why" and what it means to him to be financial free and what he can do with this freedom. I would love to hear what your reason for financial freedom is. My reason for financial freedom is to be able to enjoy more of my hobbies, travel, volunteer, time with my future children, more time to dedicate to my church, donate or even start an organization but my biggest goal is to be able to take my dad traveling around the united states. He works so hard but has very little time and money to be able to do something like that. I am overjoyed at the thought of being able to take my dad on an adventure he has always wanted to do! So, what is your WHY?

@Casey Powers Thanks for the information! I will continue to keep my eyes open for a fourplex, but I’m not counting on it. Buying the single family home seems more attainable at this point.

@Kyle Davidson Great information! Thank you, I’ve got lots of options. I will definitely give that episode a listen.

@Bill Brandt yes, I have definitely been considering this option more and more, especially if I want to stay around the Henderson area. At the moment I have my heart set on a duplex or triplex but it is becoming more apparent that might not be the best option. Thanks for your perspective, definitely got me thinking.

@Lisa Waldman yeah, I agree! Anything good that comes up is always way over priced! Thanks for the info. The Boulder City area for the most part I would feel comfortable living. I don’t mind putting in some work. At this point I may be considering out of state as well.
