@Roy Cleeves I’ve never used BMO.
I have a 2 unit with Scotia, a 3 unit with a credit union and my principal residence is with ManuOne.
I have an opportunity, the sellers are open to VTB. But I don’t have 20% for the typical down payment. Or with VTB is that different?

@Brandon Ramsay hey!! I’m curious if you went through with the VTB? I’m currently in the same situation. So you’re a year ahead of me :) any insight?

Hey @Tanveer Mostafa! I don't think that real estate is much different across the border. There are some definite tax differences. But in terms of getting started and finding deals. I think you can follow advice from either a Canadian or American. Do you have any speciific concerns of wuestions?

I like the idea of just adding up the utilities from the previous year, divide by 12 to get your monthly amount and then split it up equally per housemate. Then add it to the rent. It's such a pain the butt to split it up as the utility bills come in. And there's always a jerk housemate that uses WAY more water, is careless about electricity and that just causes animosity sometimes.
