@Bjorn Ahlblad and @Michele Fischer  Thank you both so much for replying!!  This property was a pre-foreclosure that I purchased from a wholesaler. The owner was days away from the property being sold at auction. I think the tenants were aware of the status of the pending auction and decided not to pay rent. This was my first multi-unit so I didn't think to ask for the security deposits until after all was completed. I contacted the previous property management company to request the current agreements and they never actually sent them over. I'm out of state so I cant just go pick them up.

Ill definitely look into a rental owner group. I have a lot of learning to do, but I'm up for the challenge.

Hi everyone I just purchased my first triplex in Ohio, I'm needing to find out if I can collect past due rents since I just acquired the property Feb 1st. Two of the three are behind. In addition where to find new leasing agreement. Also the tenants have asked about their security deposit which the previous owner denies having. what's the best way to handle these situations.

Thanks in advance.
