Hi everyone! My name is Molly Allen and I am brand new to REI. I was recently laid off from my position as an account executive at an entertainment marketing firm. I represented major brands in the realm of celebrity endorsements, product placement, press outreach and talent relations. Although I loved my job, I have long dreamed of a career in real estate - specifically rehabbing and reselling residential property. I've decided to utilize this time to redirect my career and pursue my passion for RE, one step at a time!
I'm spending the next couple months educating myself and gaining insight from friends / connections who work in the field. I'm in the process of studying for my RE license and will take the exam in Jan '16. I have a couple friends in the area who flip homes, and I will be shadowing one of them on site next month, which is really exciting! My plan is to get an entry level position in the field in January, and hopefully flip my first house in Summer '16 in the San Fernando Valley or USC area.
