Yes, to my surprise there is a growing demand in the Newburgh area for STRs. This property in particular is around the block from a large hospital. I was thinking it may attract health professionals (i.e. traveling nurses).

Hello all. My partners and I are in contract with a 2 family property in Newburgh, NY. Our plan is to convert the property into a 3 family. I am considering using one of the units for AirBnB.

Can anyone recommend some books or other resources to help me learn as much as I can about AirBnB?

Hello all.  I am an investor that is very new to the RE game and lives in Walden, NY.  I currently have a multifamily property in the Bronx that I'm in the process of rehabbing.  However, I want to start investing in properties closer to home once I'm done with the Bronx property.

Thanks for your input Taylor.  I agree that a college degree will increase his odds of being successful.  I will advise him to pursue a degree related to real estate, the Baruch program that James mentioned seems to be a great fit.  I'm sure this education will equip my son with the knowledge to help the business grow larger than I can take it alone.

Hi James, thanks so much for your input.  I will research that major at Baruch.  It's a great school, my fiancé is a graduate from there.
