As the title states my question I'm curious to hear people's opinions on this. Do successful investors use zillow as a resource. I'm a newbie looking at properties and would like your input.

Post: How Are You Planning on Making 2015 a More Successful Year than Last?

thank you for the question.

It's great to hear everyone's motivation and goals. As one of my mentors once said a goal without a plan is just a wish. 2015 brings a lot of new opportunities and challenges with it. It's great to prepare and be ready for most of the things we encounter. This past week I spent a lot of time preparing for the months to come. I set up a financial calendar and planned 6 months ahead. Start small grow tall. Some of my goals for the year.

-read more books on real estate as well as personal development.

-become more of a saver then a spender :p

-become more involved in bigger pockets and my community.

-associate myself with a mentor to help me achieve my goals in the months to come

-do at least 1 rehab by the end of summer.

These are just the tip of the iceberg

I'm glad to be a part of this group of individuals with the same motivation as mine. Thank you everyone for sharing and bringing your part to the table. This is going to be a great year for all of us. Plan ahead and we can accomplish anything. Sky is the limit.

I am in the process of getting my finances straight saving as much money as I can to start doing rehabs. This is my and my girlfriends dream. Rehab pros. She is considering in becoming a Real estate agent and I want to be the guy to put it all together. Like you said college is an enormous commitment and for me personally is a little over rated to some extent. I am the kind of person that has to plan ahead and see the end of the road. Going to school and taking general education classes does not make me excited. It makes me believe I am wasting time and money, But on the other hand being well educated in an area that could benefit me in real estate is definitely something I would like to do. Thank You

Hello,

I would like to introduce myself to everyone, my name is Max I am a 21 year old student that is just starting out fully pursuing real estate. I have been in the loop for around a year now. I met a local investor that caught my attention and got me involved, too bad it ended up being a pyramid scheme trying to sell real estate education blah blah blah. Anyways ever since that point i started taking real estate seriously. It became my dream and passion and I would like to reach out to everyone on the forums for a little advice. I am currently working part time at AT&T making pretty good money for what I do. Now is my biggest dilemma. Should I pursue college? What types of degrees would benefit me with my real estate dreams and do you even recommend on going to college or should i just chase my dream and commit to this %100. Thank You.

Hello everyone my name is Max, I am a 21 year old newbie that has been involved in real estate for a little while. I'm finally at the stage of a steady job providing me with a good income and I am looking to start with my first property within the next few months. Just last summer I visited my buddy's lake house in a small town in Illinois. I happened to notice the area is beautiful with lots of potential. As a first investment I was looking at some one bedroom single family vacation houses. There is a lot of properties that need some work but are in a 30-50k range. The question is: is a lake house a good idea for an investment. I am looking to rehab a house and potentially rent it out for summers and weekends. I know this is a broad question but I'm just looking for some guidance. Thank you I appreciate all answers.
