Hi matt
yes I agree with your statement. I am in different Facebook str groups in crestline lake arrowhead and big bear and I am definitely getting good info. We are looking for something that we would like to use and then str .so a fixer is usually how I do my long term . I'm finding that for str in the mountains a key component is cleaning companies and I'm also looking to have the cabin managed as I currently manage 5 on my own and dont want to be burdened too much more with a str. Our goal is to get something we would enjoy and be able to manage the mortgage comfortably. But as I am researching it looks like it can be challenging more than I may care lol.

Hello I am curious about the possibility of buying a cabin in green valley lake ca as a vaccation home and then do Airbnb. I have rental properties in AZ and California as buy and holds however am curious if anyone has experience with this area as Airbnb or big bear/ arrowhead etc. Is it worth the hassle what are the expenses such as propane electric internet etc. Is it expensive to get a management company who will do the cleaning especially with all the covid rules? For what I'm looking at it seems I can list for about $100 a night however the mortgage is looking like 12 to 1400 month maybe? I haven't really researched to heavily as I am just starting to investigate
Anyone have experience?

I am also from California looking to out f state invest. A friend of mine mentioned that 31088 is good. Stay south of Watson st. Does anyone have any other recommendations on investing in this area. I see there is a high crime rate and this is concerning. Looking to buy and hold for cash flow and would need a reliable property management team to meet as I am told can be troublesome in the area.

These are fantastic leads and information. Thank you John bar for this!! I am an out of state investor currently looking in Jacksonville fl however have been debating SA Texas. I'm looking now at a property in the 78207 zip code. I am researching as much as I can about SA. What I am seeing is it isn't a bad zip code. My budget is c class neighborhoods working class buy and hold properties. Your information although a year old now is still relevant. Thank you

I appreciate your reply james. I do understand about the possibility of bad tenants i currently own one rental property in california. However i have never dealt with a company such as this one. I know for us here rentals are becoming more intreging out of state and this has sparked my interest. Just trying to see if anyone has heard of it or opinions on related situations.
