As a former title agent I would tell you that I was always interested offering any and all my customers the best fees I possibly could. There is so much competition out there that most title companies will come off their fees a bit if they are worried you'll go elsewhere.  Call around and try your luck. Bluff a bit about the volume of transactions if you have to. 

I'm very interested to find out who may have refused the business. I was a title agent for 19 years in Orlando (also serving Tampa area) and I've never of that.  I used to several mobile closings with Stewart Title in Tampa and thought they were great. Have you contacted them?

I remember being a renter years ago and had PM contact my then wife and I our birthdays. While I now understand the intent, at the time I found it a bit invasive.
