Minna,

Looks great! Thank you for sharing your experiences during the rehab. I found it very informative and great information for me as a noobie.

Thanks,

Mike

Hey Mike, I have actually checked out GAREIA. it seems to be a great place to network and get your feet wet. They have a member orientation if your thinking about joining and I went twice and learned a lot. They also have a class on RE investing for beginners that is free and that was really interesting too. You should check it out.

Hey missty1029,

Thanks for the info. I think that I will check out GAREIA. How long have you been doing REI?

Thanks,

Mike

that's it.

he's got many articles - his marketing technique is to bash as many guys like carleton sheets, kiyosaki, etc. - alot of them he does "not recommend".

he rips them and then offers his books and other materials in place of all them.

BUT i can't say that i've read any of his material other than what's on his site in terms of articles.

Noobdog1,

Thanks for the info and link.

My RE Goals for 2007:

- Join a local REI club and network with these folks
- work with a mentor
- Continue to learn as much as I can about REI
- rehab my first house, maybe two

Hey Mike,
Welcome to the forum. Georgia is an excellent place to start your investment/rehab business. 8)

lenderles,

Do you belong to any investment clubs in Atlanta? I'm thinking about checking out GAREIA. Any experience with this association?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Josh,

Thanks for the reply and encouragement! I do believe that budgeting is going to be key while getting started since I don't have alot of funds to start.

I believe that I do have a few things on my side... my wife is a realtor which will help tons. Also I am very handy. I have done several home improvement projects on my own home including a complete 23 x 14 addition.

I want to investigate other paths as well as you mentioned.

Thanks again for this awesome forum!

Mike

Hello Everyone!

My name is Mike. I'm really glad that I found this awesome forum. There seems to be tons of great information here. I'm new to Real Estate Investing and can't wait to get started. Right now I am trying to decide how I want to proceed. I'm leaning toward working fixer uppers but haven't decided for sure. I hope to gain some of the knowledge here that I need to move forward. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike
