Is that sarcasm?

Or are you one of the faithful?

Unfortunently I am having trouble maintaining that level of optimism.

Tiara,

"How demanding is this particular profession?"

Its not the profession that is often demanding but the clients.

"What are the hours like?"

Whenever you make your self available (many clients will think hours of operation are whenever they call)

Would it be better to work for a big broker or a boutique?

Given your inexperience I would advise you to start with a large brokerage that can offer you the support and training that will lead to your success.

"How many deals does the average agent close per month?"

The average agent closes 8 deals a year!

Good luck,

Bigger pockets is a good place to learn. Do searches on topics you have questions about on the site you will find many older posts that can answer alot of your questions.

Many of the most successful agents are nich agents they specialize in a specific area of real estate. listing expired listings, pre-forclosure, estates/probate, buyers agent, investments. Figure out who you currently know (your sphere of influence) where they are in thier lives and what they are in the market for. Your first deals will most likly come from people you already know.

Tim,

You reaffirmed my decision that you are hilarious.

We should seriously get a six pack (each) and go fishing some time.

Short selling is far better than a foreclosure are you having trouble keeping up with payments?

If so how far behind are you?

It will be very difficault to do a short sale if you can not provide a hardship letter explaining why you can no longer afford the properties.

I've spoken to David Peeples he's knowledgeable.

Do a search for him on this site & see if he can help.

Did not mean to try and change the subject guys.

Just wanted to put that article out there in the hopes it might help keep someone from having a new story to post.
