Does anyone have experience in raising and moving a house from one lot to another in Mobile, AL? Which companies are the best in the area to do this? Any special permitting with the new lot? What is the typical cost? Where do I start?
Thanks!

With the price of houses being so little there Im surprised there is even a robust rental market. And with all these thousands of people moving there for government and high tech; are they buying or renting when they get there and for how long?

The Tax Deed wipes away the prior mortgages but it does NOT wipe way IRS liens, child support and third party lawsuits. Worst case scenario is that you end up paying someone else's back child support for a child(ren) that aren't even yours; or paying someone else's IRS tax bill. Best practice is to go ahead and ALWAYS RUN title first, then submit an online application to the State of Alabama. This way if you find out that there are other liens or judgement that cant' be dismissed, then you can walk way with your only financial loss being the cost of running title. I gladly take that minor loss and keep it moving than to deal with some else's lawsuit, child support or IRS drama.

The rates might be slightly higher but maybe not if you find the right asset based commercial lender. Have you secured funding yet? If not Please PM details. I can't say much more than that on this forum without it being flagged spam/sale pitch.

I'd also be interested in adding you to my network of lenders that I could potentially reach out to when I am looking to fund my own investment activity here in South FL.
Perfect I'll PM now
