Going back to the original question about solar in Indy rentals (I assume you mean Indianapolis), there is a new solar CO-OP that was just started yesterday. Don't know much about it, but assume it is similar to what they have in Bloomington where it is a group buy to reduce the cost of the install. Check out Solar United Neighbors of Indiana for more info.
I am considering getting solar on my rental in Bloomington, IN, (an hour south of Indy) and know a few rentals that have done it. I don't know that the installer I have in Bloomington would go to Indy, but they might be able to recommend someone.
Also note that net metering in Indiana will be phased out in 2032 unless the law is changed. And it has to be installed before 2022 or else you will get no net metering.

Thomas, thanks for the invite. I won't be able to make it today, but I will definitely try for next month. Is there a way to contact you directly on here or is there more info on the meeting?
Matt

Awesome. Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone. I have read through the Beginner's Guide, so I appreciate the additional resource suggestions.

Hello, Biggerpockets.com community. I am very excited to learn all about real estate investing. Currently, I am a novice with zero properties other than my primary house. My goal is to evaluate the local real estate market and become familiar enough to recognize a good deal and seize it. My local market is Bloomington, IN. Being a college town, I feel that there is great opportunity for property investing.
