Trying to figure out how to gain acres to the auctions for liens in NYC. I found listings of what will be auctioned but opt how to get in on the auction. All of the info I found online pertains to people who will have a lien placed in their property and nothing really about those looking to it the leans. I see the dates for the auctions and everything BT nothing about the approval process to become a buyer. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

@Darren Sager Darren I will look through the links you posted, thank you for the advice!

@Jonathan Makovsky Thank you for the kind words.

@Jack Butala Steven, I will definitely peruse the courses and videos. I have seen many of them already as I have been lurking here for some time.

Thanks everyone!

Jeffery Goode Hi Jeffery. I am in a similar position as OP, I hope it is not considered rude to post in his thread. I am looking to break into real estate investing and live in Brooklyn as well. I am currently working as an accountant that specializes in auditing Property and Casualty insurance companies. At this point I am not really looking to become a licensed real estate agent/broker. I am looking to build a second stream of income and to also start building equity through real estate investments. I have an interest in commercial and mixed use real estate but I noticed through browsing that residential is much more common on these forms. I have some construction experience though most of it is related to plumbing in high rises and pipefitting in natural gas and oil refineries. Anyone interested in getting in touch feel free to reach out!!
