@Melanie Hartmann - Don’t listen to the naysayers. So many people stay in a job they don’t like year after year after year after year after year... then they’re dead! You’ve already achieved one of the harder hurdles to overcome - your own self doubt and instinctual desire for security. I have no doubt you’ll make this work. Remember to stay consistent. Even when it seems like nothing is happening. Good luck!

@Paul Enzinger I wouldn’t mention it. The people I’ve met who have financial woes and don’t manage money well, have a tendency to resent those who DO know how to manage their finances.

Park Hill in Denver is a great neighborhood. Have some family there and they love it. Glendale is pretty decent as well.

@Jared Stoneman I’ve lived In Colorado Springs most of almost all my life minus one year when I lived in Denver. Really just depends on what you’re looking for in a town. If you like city life then Denver is for you. If you like some city and mountains, then Colorado Springs or Boulder would be a good mix. Denver housing is

Much more expensive than Colorado Springs. I can live in a 3/2 home near downtown for 2k or less... in Denver that might get you a 2/1 apartment downtown.

@Nandy B. I suppose it might, if it continued... but the dealers are leaving this month, so there will be no more problems. Shouldn’t affect anything once they are out and the house is fixed up.

@Ray Fisher Thanks Ray! My situation is unique as I watched them move in and will see them move out this month. So I happen to know a lot about the property already just from living across from it.

@Nandy B. It’s actually a pretty decent area. Not a war zone or anything close. Drug dealers can move into any neighborhood, I suppose.

Thanks @Ray Fisher.  I happen to live near a rental that had dealers living in it.  No evidence of manufacturing in the home, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was being cut up and distributed inside the home.

@Eric

@Eric M. I've yet to contact a meth remediation company, but it seems it can either be a cleaning job (around 5-10k) or a complete gut (around 10-25k +) depending on the size of the property.
