This event is a simple meetup that is designed to bring like-minded individuals together who's passion is in personal finance and financial freedom. There is no official website or anything. Most of us belong to either biggerpockets or ChooseFI facebook group.

Just showing a picture from the last meetup. Combined with our facebook group, we had 22 attendees. The FIRE has started. 

Just wanted to thank everyone who attended the event. Combined with the Facebook group there was 22ppl total. Excellent start for an excellent meetup. Will update the group once we figure out the next date! The FIRE has started!

@Bruno Barros So I looked into this as well. I'm considering making the switch when it comes out in 2019. However, I'm thinking the other online banks will respond. I wouldn't be surprised if Ally, Marcus, etc. jumped their rates up by 0.25%+ in order to compete. I read a little bit about SPIC insured and it seems pretty legit. 

Hey with the meetup less than a week away. I wanted to share a big win with the community. I recently learned that I can open up an HSA (even though I already have an HRA). HSA offer the triple tax advantage. No tax going in, while growing, or coming out.  

Can't wait for the meetup about 2 weeks away!

You know snow cant handle FIRE! So yes the meetup will still happen. But on a serious note, after checking the weather report, it says it will light snow early afternoon for like 2 hours with no accumulation and then turn to rain. So we are still doing the event! (Will update if anything changes)

Our very first FIRE meetup is finally coming this week! Can't wait to see all of you there. AS a community of sharing, Take a second to think of any cool life hacks you can share. I have a good one.....ever had a library buy a book for you? Learn how I saved 25 bucks on a brand new book, because the library bought it for me lol.
