Great advice @Ricardo Olea ! I think I suffer from Paralysis Analysis from time to time. Marketing is what I need to work on!

@Philip Schultz I'm focusing in on the Alief/Missouri City areas, but I will begin searching properties on that 610/288 side of town in the next few weeks. I attended Texas Southern University and that 3rd Ward/Sunnyside area has experienced ALOT of renovation in the past few years. I'm a wholesaler, so I look for great deals all around the city. If you're ever up for a meet up to talk more real estate I'm available! I'm a newbie so I still have lots to learn.

@Philip Schultz very interesting post! I was thinking about investing in that same side of town, but I was told the tenants over there are a hassle. Let us know about your next move! There are greater properties and "cooler" tenants within a 5 mile radius of that area.

Welcome Brandon Bruchhaus ! Lots of great info here. Question: did you purchase the property through a traditional loan? Or through some sort of creative financing? I'm a newbie as well and I wanted some insight. Thanks!

Great question Raina Wells I'm going through the same troubles in Houston! My advice would be to check the Zillow App, or get in touch with a realtor who has access to the MLS. I believe through the MLS the owner of the home can be found, but I'm not 100% sure. Hope that helps!

Hello,

Good question! I don't know the answer so I am interested in what others have to say about this as well.
