I’m just starting out but I’m really interested in pursuing my real estate license while I’m also searching for my first deal. Do you think it’s worth investing the time to become a real estate agent now or should I just wait until I’ve done a couple of deals before I go ahead and pursue it. I believe it will help me learn and connect early on. I’d love to hear your thoughts. Thank you!

Hi, I'm a newbie from Portland, OR that just recently learned about the benefits of real estate investing and looking for some help & tips. My goal is to get into multi-family homes in C+/B neighborhoods in Puerto Rico (ideally in the metropolitan area near universities and hospitals) as I have a team of people that can assist with the rehab and purchasing of the home. I'm currently waiting to get enough capital saved up for a down payment and exploring my financing option. I'm considering several options and any tips or suggestions would be highly appreciated. Over a year ago I purchased my first home in Portland using a VA Loan and don't have enough equity to get a HELOC. While I'm building up capital I am considering perhaps starting off with the BRRR method to get on track. I'd love to connect with proactive real estate agents/brokers in Puerto Rico or anybody that may know of somebody in the island with multifamily units willing to do owner financing.

Much Appreciated!

Natallia
