@Joseph England, great thread!  I am full time active duty as well and looking to pick up my first investment property in Bmore City.  

I've read a lot of posts warning to stay away, but I feel like there has to be opportunity there and this post definitely has me interested.  I was specifically looking at sub-20K properties in some of the less desirable neighborhoods.  I'm really interested to hear about your 9K purchase because that sounds like it's right up my alley.  Thanks again for the info, keep it coming!

Hello BP!  New to the forum after becoming completely hooked on the podcast.  I'm active duty Navy stationed here in the DMV area for the next few years.  I dove right in to reading as much as I can and hope to build a good base of education over the next 6 months or so.  Also, I would love to connect with local investors and real estate professionals to get some hands-on training.
