@Mike Lambert

Do you have any contacts that I could connect with in the DR?

@George Munoz

Do you have any contacts that work in the Punta Cana area?

Or know how much I could expect to by a basic apartment there?

@Jim K.

Thanks for this little dose of reality.

I guess it’s back to the drawing board for me.

@Caleb Heimsoth

I wouldn’t be living there. I’d be renting out the property. But I see what you’re saying... dangerous environment

@Mike Lambert

I have 50k to spend, and id like 500-800 in rent per month.

Probably not going to happen, right?

I’m looking at some studio apartments around touristy beach towns, and am considering paying cash for one to rent or air bnb.

Has anyone got experience or advice on this? Is it a safe investment?

What are the basic principles here when looking at listings on sites like Zillow, Redfin, Roofstock etc?

Are advertised prices usually a little higher than what they’re worth? Are they pretty accurate otherwise?

When going through the listings, should you take a % off the advertised price before negotiating with the agents?

Thanks so much!

When coming accross what looks like good deals, say on Zillow or Redfin etc, how are we able to inspect the properties to make sure nothing major is wrong with them when we’re not physically there?

@Erik Whiting who would be the right person to call to check on those things? I’d assume it’s not the realestate agent, right?

@Christopher Phillips would these be the types of properties that people are renting?

I.e if people are not able to buy, could an investor realistically purchase it for rental cashflow?
