Post: Investor Friendly Agent in New Orleans Area

Hello All,

I am a native New Orleanian looking for an investor friendly agent in the greater New Orleans/Jefferson Parish area. I am currently working out of the country and have struggled to find an agent willing to work with me from a distance. Although this is common in the DC area (where I own one rental) it is not as common in NOLA and it has created a few challenges. I am primarily interested in Multifamily however I would also be interested in a BRRRR if the numbers work.

Thanks everyone and I look forward to your suggestions!

@Lara White that is great to hear. I have been going to Destin for years. My family owns a couple of places there. I love the area and some day I plan to retire there. I am not sure exactly where I am buying as of yet but I will keep you in the loop. I have found some handyman services that run about $1200 a year and offer an on call service.  I am sure that fee could be built in to the cost of the rental. I am primarily considering condos and townhomes but have an open mind. It is more about the right deal in the right place. I will probably require a minimum night stay unless the market dictates I do daily check-in especially in the slow season. I still have to figure that out. Thanks again for reaching out.

@Matt "Roar" Gardner sounds like solid advice. I am focusing on the deal but in order to get a good estimate on the numbers I want to have an idea of what I would be paying monthly for cleaning/handyman on retainer. Thanks man!

Good Afternoon All,

I am planning on purchasing a piece of property in Destin for primary use as an STR. I plan to manage the property myself but will obviously need to build a local team. I am already working with a great realtor and lender but would love suggestions on an on-call handyman service. I live quite a distance away from Destin so I will not be able to handle maintenance myself.

I would also be interested in your recommendations for a cleaning/laundry service that specializes in STR on the Emerald Coast. Lastly if there are any other suggestions you have I would be happy to hear them. I currently self manage a long distance rental (RentRedi) in Northern Virginia but I know STR is a whole different game.

Thanks all and I look forward to your replies!
