No sir, by the time I started thinking about sales, it was already too late. I also spent the last 5 years overseas, so I wasn't sure how that was gonna work.

To be more specific ladies and gents, I left honorably. I have access to my VA Loan, and was planning on starting out with a Duplex, and build from there

Hello everyone!

It's been a minute since I've made post. I just left active duty Air Force a couple of months and I'm still trying to adjust to a much more normal life. I'm hoping for some guidance (possibly mentorship if anyone is willing to help me) when it comes to starting out on my journey. You see, when I was active US. Air Force (for 7 years; currently reservist) I realized I had an addiction, and that addiction was how I was receiving cash, and so (long story short) to break that addiction I knew I had to leave. So I gave up about $3k a month in the military, to learn how to sell by taking a position with T-Mobile haha.  Yeah, I'm crazy but ultimately of course I'm trying to start my own businesses, and I know I need to learn how to sell. The thing is, I'm still very new in sales, and my pay isn't exactly what it use to be. My first paycheck was today actually (the day this post was uploaded) and it was only $680 because I just started. Yeah haha to go from $3k a month to only about possibly $1.2 to $1.5K a month. I know in my heart I'm doing the right thing here, It's just a little difficult especially when you feel like you're alone ya know? Anyways I thank you to anyone who has read this far into my post, and again just seeking a hand in starting out, mentorship if possible, and a few words of encouragement haha

Thank you guys (:

- Nicholas

Post: Real Estate 2023 Beginner's Concern

Good Day Everyone!

I hope everyone's having a great week so far! I have a concern I'm hoping to get some insight and advice. You see I'm separating from the US Air Force in just couple of short weeks. I'm looking to use my VA Loan soon to purchase my first property, and grow from there. My concern however, is the Fed, and the fact that interest rates are being raised. When the Fed will pivot I have no idea, but I suppose my questions are, is now a good time to get in the markets? Should I wait? Is there a way to keep track of rising interest rates? Are there ways to get great deals even though rates are rising? Thank you guys!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Nicholas, I'm new to Bigger Pockets. I'm active duty Air Force about to separate very soon. I'm looking to purchase my first investment property (Particularly a small multifamily) using the VA Loan. I'm just not sure where to begin to look, or when the deal is sealed how I find tenants. Could use a hand. Thank you guys and looking forward to hearing from you all!
