@Hunter Thompson I've been to Richlands a few times many years ago.  My school played soccer against the school there.

I have a son that will be attending ECU starting next month with the possibility of another son starting there in four years hence the interest.

Ideal situation would be to find a property to buy and hold then let them live there while attending school and house hacking.

Hello.  I'm looking to start networking in the Greenville, NC area.

I am very interested in finding a multifamily unit in the future for a buy and hold

I've been doing some research and have seen a few properties but I'm not sure which areas to stay away from and which to focus on.

Hi @Matthew Tringali.  Following up with you.

I would definitely be interested in discussing options with you.

Thanks for the suggestion @Tiffany Alexy.

Given both of our work schedules we felt that having a PM would be the most convenient.  The property is a one year old townhouse so we don't expect any issues but that "what if" scenario is still there.

@Jonna Weber, @Jim Brewer, @Andrew Syrios, @Dmitriy Fomichenko, and @Tiffany Alexy

Thank you all for the welcome and information.  I've always found it refreshing to come across a forum of friendly and supportive individuals.  It really makes a difference in my opinion.

My plan is to join TREIA to start networking with others in the triangle area.

I did an CoC ROI analysis and liked it then started to contemplate a property management company. That changed the picture a bit. The company is right in line with what I have read in other discussions. I'm concerned that the costs for it will put me below 10% ROI if I want to stay competitive with the rental averages in the area.

@Teddy Smith, I grew up in the Wilmington area (Hampstead) and have heard that area is really starting to grow.

I'm looking forward to sharing our success stories with everyone.

Thanks again for the warm welcome and information!

Nick

Hello everyone I have been interested in REI for awhile but my wife and I have finally decided to do more than talk about it. We have acquired our first investment property in Holly Springs/Apex and plan on having it rented out within the next month.

We're both new to the whole process and would love to network with those that have more experience.  We have already started looking for our next investment.  We aren't limiting our scope to the Raleigh area.  Greenville, Wilmington and Charleston, SC are areas of interest as well.

We discovered BiggerPockets when we started doing our online research and have been visiting/reading/watching every day since.

Looking forward to making many connections and gaining knowledge.

Nick
