Hello Matthew,

I will be buying my first house this year so i would like to attend and ask some questions. Would also like to soak in some good real estate info and meet investors in Houston. See you then.

@Carlos Sotelo you put 13k down on top of the FHA loan for the total down payment? How did you go about doing a background check on the people you moved in (assuming you did)?

@Joshua Manning, thanks for asking this question because I am currently in the same boat. I feel like I am losing time that I could be working and saving capital to start investing which requires no degree. I don't wish to become a corporate slave.

There are a lot of good responses on here. I believe I just made my decision. Thanks everybody!

Thanks for your post @Stephanie Walkes. I wondered if I could do some of the work that the contractors do to same me money for when I get started with my first house. Didn't know Home Depot and Lowes have teaching clinics. Great to know. Thanks.
