Quote from @Yigal Uriel:

It would help to know what your interests are or what your looking to accomplish. Networking here on BP is a good way to make connections and get local referrals. I’ve used sites like https://www.meetup.com/ to find local or online events. You may also want to see if there are local landlord association or similar based on your interests.

Thanks you Yigal Uriel.

I am a new investor looking to make connections and understand the local market better as I move towards making deals in the area.

Hello,

Any groups in the Round Rock/Georgetown area?

Quote from @Jordan Moorhead:

@Nwa Emere I would talk to your hard money lender, most won't lend to owner occupants and I believe legally they can't if I remember right. With conforming financing they take too long for wholesale properties most of the time.

I've bought 4 duplex househacks on the market and one for my girlfriend off market with conventional financing. FHA tends to be the best for multi unit househacks

@Jordan Moorhead This is important information. Thanks a bunch.

@Nwa Emere what type of financing would you be using to buy the property

@Jordan Moorhead I have options which include conventional and hard money. Financing is not my biggest headache at the moment.

Would you care to elaborate on why you are asking?

@Nwa Emere are you looking to buy a rental property of something to househack?

Not looking to house hack at the moment. More like a Triplex or a Fourplex and maybe live in one of the units.

Thank you for your responses and questions. It brings more clarity.

I am looking for properties that are close to foreclosure or those that have been on the market for more than 90 days.

Preferably a fourplex in the Austin area in particular and Central Texas in general.

I want to have more options looking at off market properties so I can start analysing deals. What I am seeing on the market are overpriced in the market I am interested in.

I am thinking the MLS list will give me more options and hopefully something I can afford.

How do I get access to MLS listings? New investor looking for off market properties.

Any ideas?
