Hey BP members

Iv loaned out money before for a brrr situation. Now looking to barrow money myself and do the same concept. I have found the loan, what is the next step? Do i go find the home or do i contact a title company? Not exactly sure where to start.  This will be taking place in Maryland.

 Thanks!

Also-I'm interested on your perspective of Sec 8 tenants.  Did you manage your sec 8 properties yourself or did you have a PM manage? Or is it just a headache either way?

I currently do not manage any sec 8 tenants as this will be my first run with sec 8 tenants but will keep you updated on my experience. I plan on using my PM to handle the sec 8 tenants.

I was a hard money lender on one baltimore property last year and it went well. I decided to do one on my own. Purchased the property 3 months ago through a associate. After closing it cost me roughly 35k. One unit is already rented out working on fixing the downstairs unit and making it section 8. I can shoot you over some deals in the baltimore area if you would like

Hey all

Just purchased my first fix and hold property in Baltimore Md.. It is a 2 unit house currently with 1 tenent (non section 8). I have hired a property manager who's company also does construction. Which i have started the rehab with. I plan on fully rehabbing the home and placing section 8 tenants in both units. I have read many fourms on this page. So i have a general idea of what to expect. Any feedback or comments would be greatly appreciated !
