I purchased a foreclosure in March 2013 for $65,000, Zillow is estimating it at $123,702. I've been sitting on it waiting to purchase two more properties. In the interim I haven't rehabbed the first property. The $15,000 rehab would get it on the market in October to rent for atleast $1,600 - $3,000. The $30,000 rehab would get it on the market and I could seller finance it. It is a 1585 square feet single family residence in Midland Texas where the rental market is demanding $1-$3 sf. It is 3/2, built in 1950. Any recommendations on funding streams?

I purchased a residence in March 2013. What everyone mentioned is correct. The transaction went really well. It will take a couple of months to close. The best advice I can add is once you are the winning bidder, remain in contact with the company daily because the property will still be listed elsewhere. Good luck.

Count me in. Thanks JK.

My lender is saying that the underwriter is working on it. They also mentioned that the VA is looking into it. I guess I shouldn't be impatient but this deal is causing a domino effect with other possibilities.

My lender is saying that the appraiser has 10 days to complete the appraisal. The due date was May 14, 2013. Still no answer or contact from the appraiser. Do you guys know if there is forum where I could file a complaint?
