Post: Appraiser Issue

I'm in the process of purchasing a home using a VA loan. The appraiser fund has been debited from my account but I nor the mortgage company have heard from the appraiser. The guy will not return a phone call or contact anyone. Additionally, he hasn't contacted the seller. This is in West Texas. Does anyone have any suggestions? He is holding up my purchase and I don't want the seller to get cold feet.

Matt, I'm involved in the real estate investor in West Texas. One of the hot ideas around here is to rent lot spaces in trailer parks. This way you have limited overhead and landlord responsibilities. There is a tremendous shortage of affordable housing around here. Oil is King in Texas. Good luck.
