@Amanda Sokol if they are flat pack, which it sounds like they are, they all go together basically the same way. I would google about flat pack cabinet assembly and that may help

@Wesley W. If you are going to put someone’s life at risk by doing substandard construction to save a few dollars you should not be in this industry my friend, simple as that.

Removing the same amount of material from the edge of a structural member vs the middle of it has completely different ramifications to the performance of that member

PLEASE STOP GIVING ADVIVE ABOUT THINGS YOU OBVIOUSLY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT

@Edward L lauckern those are joists...if you were to notch a stud to get the wires to the correct distance they need to be from the face of the drywall you will basically be removing 50% of the width of a 2x4 stud, destroying any load bearing capacity it may have

@Bob H. If you are going to start drilling holes through joists make sure that you are consulting the proper resources for the size and location based on the member that is being drilled through. An improperly sized / located hole could cause structural failure of the framing and potentially kill someone
