I’m having seepage troubles as well in a rental near Chicago. Gutters will definitely help and will collect all the rain that hits the roof area (which is a ton), and you might want to consider another catch basin in the ground where the water pools up, that drains underground on a downward slope far away from that area.

Hi BP Community in WNC!

My name is Pat Dansdill and my wife and I are moving to the Asheville area from the Chicago suburbs (Maybe you've heard that line before, it seems to be a trend). I'm a teacher, and she works for a mortgage company. I have spoken to a few realtors so far, but I wanted to introduce myself, and eventually be on the lookout for some property management companies, as well as contractors.

I have a rental in the Chicago suburbs, and hope to grow in NC, as well as buying a house hack around Asheville. If you have any recommendations for a GC or management company, feel free to send them my way or just send a message to say hello! I also hope to make it out to any sort of meet up - I'll be on the lookout, but if anyone out there has any info I'd love to hear it, we'll be out there the first week of August, but I wanted to get the ball rolling so to hit the ground running.
