Hi, I am a Dallas based Realtor looking to work more exclusively with investors.  I know finding a good agent that understands the differerence between normal buyers and investors can be difficult.  I want to be your resource to help you succeed. I also have a background in building contracting and real estate photography. I am hoping to meet lots of like-minded investors wanting to pursue deals.

Nancy,  I would definitely check with the County/City to see if the work was ever permitted.  If so, is there any history, notices, failed inspections, etc that would have a bearing on your decision.  If all looks good, you'll need help estimated the completion work. I'm a Dallas local and would be happy to help out
