@Dominique Pradel-Lewis 100% agree. Credit unions are what I've been saying! 😊

@Daniel Griffith find a local credit union. Dont spend 6500 in fees, unless you have to.

@Nick Love love the idea! I've noticed the same about lack of branding...I come from the mortgage space, so a lot of that is branding-based to generate leads/referrals/business. I'm new to the investing side of the equation, but have been in residential lending for 20 years....and I'm a millennial as well. Let's connect brother.

@Michael Eaton-Byrd your best bet will be with a local credit union. Lower fees.

@Daniel Griffith that is very high! Yes, around 2% is about right. 10% sounds predatory! Check with a local credit union. No way should you be paying 6500 for a 65k line of credit. My local credit unions have no fee options where we can get HELOCS at zero cost!

@Aymen Mandil @Daniel Griffith I failed to mention that I'd look at a local credit union to get the heloc. They will normally have the best terms. And shop around the credit unions...if you have your credit pulled by multiple lenders, make sure to do that within a 17 day window. The credit bureaus don't penalize you for shopping within that window and the inquiries' impact will be considered 1 inquiry.
