Hi Biggerpockets, I am basically a rookie in REI investing. I have a rental property in NJ and have a little bit of experience but I am interested in making a career out of this. I will be moving to Jacksonville, FL for work reasons and plan on starting my journey there. I understand that there can be a lot of competition for the best deals so I would assume that an investor would not want to share information on a deal in a neighborhood they invest in. While that's reasonable, I would also assume that it can be beneficial to that investor if I develop a property in their neighborhood, especially if that is a bad neighborhood, because in turn, I'd be helping them develop that area which will make their property value go up.

I'm wondering how other people feel about this. Thanks.
